IP Paris Shows Up Strong at VivaTech
From May 22nd to May 25th, VivaTech brings together the most promising European startups in Paris. Among them are 28 gems from Institut Polytechnique de Paris. Most of them have been supported by one of its three incubators: X-Up in Palaiseau on the campus of École polytechnique, Incubateur Télécom Paris in Paris and Station F, and IMT-Starter on the campus of TélécomSudParis in Evry. The others were founded by alumni from the five member schools of the Institute : École polytechnique, ENSTA Paris, ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris, and Télécom SudParis.
"These three incubators support innovative and Deeptech startups from all backgrounds. They address targeted issues and are an essential part of IP Paris' innovation ecosystem. Through them, entrepreneurs gain access to the excellence of IP Paris' ecosystem," explains Bruno Cattan, Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at École Polytechnique and head of the Innovation Committee of Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
"IP Paris' commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship illustrates the Institute's determination to contribute to the success of France2030 and the Deeptech plan," adds Bruno Cattan.
Here are some figures summarizing the strength of IP Paris in terms of innovation : more than a hundred startups supported each year, 21 patents and software filed in 2023, over one billion euros raised by our alumni last year, 30% of startups in the Next40 founded by former IP Paris members, and nine of the 27 French unicorn.
The 28 startups that will be present at VivaTech have invested in one of the sectors chosen for the 2024 edition by VivaTech, including AI, Climate Tech, Mobility, Deeptech, Future Societies, Business, Creators’ Economy, Gaming and Esports.
VivaTech gives them the opportunity to present their solutions to major contemporary challenges and exchange with investors, civil society actors, politicians, researchers, and students. "We are here to support them and help solve these issues," adds Bruno Cattan.
